Project: Lancashire County Cricket ClubClient: Lancashire County Cricket Club Value: £450,000Lancashire County Cricket Club’s new Cricket Centre replaces a facility that has served the Club for the past 25 years but which fell far short of present day requirements. The new building is not only larger, providing five practice lanes instead of the previous three, but is much higher and unlike any other indoor school at other county grounds, long enough for a full bowler’s run up and for wicket keepers to stand back. It incorporates the latest technology in its floor finishes to aid both bowlers and batsman, a netting system to provide full flexibility, variable lighting to meet the needs of all standards of cricketer and a state of the art video installation for teaching and coaching. The centre is used not only by Test and County Cricketers but also for clubs and schools, and incorporates extensive training and changing facilities, full administration accommodation and provision for a future fitness centre. |
