The hospital has been specifically designed to be patient friendly incorporating a large atrium housing restaurant, coffee shops and franchise areas as well as the main reception. All departments lead directly off the atrium which serves as the main waiting area, reducing the sub-wait areas and waiting time.

A lecture theatre and seminar room lead directly off the atrium at level 2.
