The Nurses Tower building was a new build project on an existing restricted site situated adjacent the main hospital. The building comprised 5 storeys of Student Nurse Flats above 3 storeys of Mental Health accommodation.

Both parts of the building have independent access, the Student Nurse's being at 2nd floor level with a direct link bridge across to the main hospital.

The Building incorporates a total of 94 student flats and 44 mental health patient bedrooms to meet the increased demands of the Hospital and Mental health Trusts.
